Who can remember the introduction of the centre diamond?The below article also mentions the Australian Football Council which existed from 1906 until 1995. The council was a body of delegates representing each of the principal leagues which controlled the sport in their respective regions. The council was the owner of the laws of the game and managed interstate administrative and football matters.50 years ago one of the most significant innovations that came into force in 1973 was the implementation of a painted centre diamond area with 45-metre long sides, with a maximum of four players from each team permitted to stand within the diamond at centre bounces.Following a long period of lobbying by the VFL to the Australian Football Council for its introduction, the centre diamond was initially subject to a 12-month trial period. We presented a Cats Premiership poster to Robyn who lost her 14 yr old son Ethan in May. Robyn spoke on SEN & said that after Ethan's passing Geelong never lost a game & she believes they won it for Ethan.
Joel Selwood signed the poster with a message saying

We say that the AFL should release the full fixture for 2023 rather than a combination of fixed to round 15 and a floating for the remainder of the rounds. It makes planning for the later rounds more expensive if you wish to book airfares and accommodation. Do you agree?
