Sherryn Jarrett

Working as an Aged and Disability Support Worker, Sherryn is a passionate Richmond FC member and supporter, and in 2023 is clocking up her 53rd consecutive year as a member. Sherryn is from a family of diehard passionate Tiger members who have almost 400 years of membership in our family of seven.

A Cheer Squad member since 1980 and actively involved for a number of yearse, Sherryn is involved with regularly making the banner for Richmond’s men’s team and now also for their AFLW team. Sherryn’s teenage daughter is also a passionate Richmond FC and Cheer Squad member.

Sherryn played Aussie Rules footy as a teenager and young adult and would have loved to have had the opportunity our women now have to play as semi-professional players and represent the 18 AFL clubs. Not only did she play footy, but she also coached and umpired at the junior level I the Dandenong area.

Sherryn often speaks to fellow AFL and AFLW members to get their opinions on all things AFL/AFLW, and looks forward to contributing in any small way to help get the AFLFA voice heard through their social media channels.
